John Merrill (Jack) Aird, 71, of Chino, California, passed away on April 6, 2016 in Pomona, California. Funeral service will be held at home of John and Kimberley Aird in Chino Hills, California on April 16, 2016 at 2:00PM with Major Steven Mickel of the California Army National Guard officiating. Crippen Mortuary will be handling the funeral arrangements. Jack was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Ernest (Ernie) and Elizabeth (Betty) Aird on January 4, 1945. He went to high school at Chambersburg Area Senior High School and graduated in 1963. He worked as a fraud investigator for Citibank for twelve years. He enjoyed his 7 grandchildren, hotrods, doo wop music and concerts, and NASCAR racing. Jack is survived by his Wife, Diana of Chino, California, Son John and wife Kimberley Aird of Chino Hills, California, Daughter Heather and husband David Strong of Buellton, California, Daughter Shelia and husband George Cooper of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Son Shawn and wife Bunny Small of Sand Point Idaho, Son Christopher and wife Amanda Cassinelli of San Francisco, California, Daughter Heather and Husband Kaz Kendig of Lititz Pennsylvania. Also survived by his loving grandchildren Alex and Emma Aird, Jacob and Olivia Strong, Preston and Elijah Cassinelli, and Maggie Cooper. Jack was preceded in death by his loving parents Ernie and Bettie Aird and son Patrick. Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to, The Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 Please include Jack’s name as “in memorium” in the memo portion of the check for all donations.
