Dorothy Jane Dadomo (maiden name Schedler) was born in

Baroda, Michigan on May 5, 1935, to Ferdinand and Lucille

Schedler. Her childhood was spent on the family’s beloved farm

with her three brothers and one sister. She would grow up to be a

teacher, accounting clerk, beloved wife and mother.

After graduating from Western Michigan University with her

teaching credentials, Dorothy spent time educating the youth of

Michigan. She then decided to spread her wings and moved to

the big city of Chicago, Illinois where she obtained a job working

in the accounting department of a large architectural design and

engineering firm. There she would meet the love of her life,

Guglielmo Dadomo. They were married six months later in 1962.

In 1973, Guglielmo and Dorothy welcomed Dante Gregory. As a

family, they moved west to La Canada Flintridge, California in

1975. She stayed at home to raise Dante and would act as a

substitute teacher in the local schools. Dorothy enjoyed family

road trips across the United States, gardening in her backyard,

her boxer dogs, reading voraciously and Notre Dame football.

She loved attending her church, Holy Redeemer in Montrose.

Dorothy passed away on August 13, 2026. She is survived by her

son Dante and many nieces and nephews.
