Paul Porco of Glendale CA passed away peacefully May 26th, 2012 at 88. He was one of seven children of Francesco and Giovanna Porco. Born on 6/25/1923 in Heilwood, PA, he was raised and educated in Dearborn, MI.
Paul served in the US Army from 1942-1945. In 1947 his family relocated to Southern California. He worked for Singer-Librascope as a Quality Control Manager from 1949 until he retired in 1988.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and followed his favorite sports: football and baseball. As a talented craftsman, Paul was continually involved in home improvements in his younger years. He took particular pride in his yard including flowers and fruit trees.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years Anita Porco and 2 children (from a previous marriage): Gary Porco and Janie Porco Hall (Mark), 2 granddaughters Kristen Hall and Lauren Hall Lundquist (Austin), and by sister Pearl Ruggiero (Joseph) and brother Dr. Setty Porco (Shirley) and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by sisters Jean D'Amore, Ida Tripoli and brothers Dominic and Alfred Porco.
Though he will be greatly missed by family and friends who loved him, Paul's family can ultimately rejoice in his relocation to Heaven where he awaits others who have also placed their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
A private memorial service will be attended by family.
