John Henry Yerton quietly passed away at home, in the loving arms of his children, April 1, 2013.
He is predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Maxine, and two grandchildren, Chad and Shannon. He leaves behind his children, Maria, Michael, Dennis (Paula), Terry, Teresa (Joe), Rita (Greg), 16 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Mildred (Ralph) and Dorothy (Larry).
John was born July 15, 1926 in Micawber, Okla., came to Calif. In 1941, and married Maxine in 1945. He was a master plumber and contractor, a past president of the Glendale building commission, and member of the elks and Kiwanis.
Memorial services will be held at Holy Redeemer Church, Montrose, on April 27th, time to be announced. Please forward condolences to Crippen Mortuary, La Crescenta, Ca.
