Hi Dad, it has been a while since I last saw you and gave you a big hug. I was upset with you the last time we spoke. It was about Candice's wedding. In the end you did not attend her wedding. I was so hurt. A few days later and you had passed. I'm sorry our relationship ended on that sour note. So many days go by where I wish different decisions had been made. I wish I could talk with you now. There were so many days we would sit and talk and talk for hours. Oh how I miss that. I wish I could visit you and talk to you right now, today. You visited Mom and Beverly but you didn't visit me. I wish you would have. I am proud to be your son. I miss you and your smile so much.

Grandpa. All of my life, I have known you to be a truly friendly, kind-hearted person to every person you came into contact with. You have always had the ability to open up others on a personal level and treat them like you've known them for their entire lives, playful sarcasm included. You had the most incredible compendium of knowledge about seemingly random facts as well as the skill and know-how of the inner workings of the most complex and obscure devices I've ever known a person to have. You are one of the strongest men I have ever known and I am proud to say that you were my grandfather. I look up to you always and I hope that I will one day be able to say I have lived a life even half as incredible and diverse as yours. I love you so much grandpa.
