Cocozza (Mimi) of Santa Maria del Molise. Her family relocated from Italy first to Pittsburgh , PA in 1929 and finally settled in Warren , Ohio as her father, Oliviero was already a Naturalized US Citizen and had served honorably in the United States Army during World War I. At his discharge in France , he returned to Italy where he met Mimi and they were married.

She returned to her first love, The Jewelry Business, as the Manager of Frank Vernon Jewelers, a wholesale diamond broker in Downtown Los Angeles’ Jewelry Mart where she remained for 25 years until her retirement in 2005.
In addition to her family and business career, Noema selflessly donated her time throughout her life as a member, administrator and even President of numerous clubs and organizations, the closest to her heart being the Abruzzesi e Molisani di California, where she served as President for several terms.
