Carolyn Sue Smith

Carolyn Sue Smith, age 62, passed away peacefully on Labor Day, September 7, 2015 at Glendale Adventist Medical Center. Carolyn was born April 26, 1953 in Glendale, CA, the daughter of Paul Daniel Smith and Lillie Mae “Sis” Lawrence-Smith.
Carolyn lived her younger years in Sun Valley, CA before moving to Tujunga, CA with husband William C Jones. Carolyn was a funny, witty, and caring soul who enjoyed and shared her life with friends, family and most people she met. Carolyn was one of those rare individuals who never met a stranger. She enjoyed traveling and visiting her family in New Mexico, Oklahoma and Kansas and made many a trip to the Midwest over the years.
She is survived by her husband, William C Jones of Tujunga, CA, half-brother Ron Myers (Son of Paul Daniel Smith) of Mojave, CA, Sisters-in-law Judith A Benson (Bill) of Partridge, KS, Barbara L Jones-Schuster (Horst) of Mammoth Lakes, CA, her Uncle Bill Kornele of Clayton, NM who was like a father to her, as well as a long list of Cousins in and around New Mexico who were all very special to her and numerous other loving family members.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father Paul and her mother Lillie Mae “Sis”. A viewing will be held at Crippen Mortuary in La Crescenta, CA on Friday September 11, 2015 from 5 pm to 8 pm.
There will also be a visitation to be held on Tuesday September 15, 2015 from 6-8 PM at the Elliot Mortuary in Hutchinson, Kansas. 1219 N Main. Hutchinson, KS 67501.
Graveside services and Interment will be on Wednesday September 16, 2015 at 10:00 AM at The Partridge Cemetery 8304 S Partridge Rd.
