Obituary of Gary James Ewing

Gary James Ewing 1987-2015 Gary James Ewing, 28 formally from Bel Air, Maryland, died tragically while driving his motorcycle home from work and was struck by a drunk driver, the evening of September 25, 2015. He was born on July 18, 1987 in Baltimore, Maryland. Gary is survived by his parents, Gary and Donna Ewing, his siblings Ryan and Amber, his girlfriend Christine, and many family and friends. Adventures, goals and dreams; Gary wanted it all. Living a full joyous and passionate life was not optional, it was imperative. Hooked on adrenaline and embracing spontaneity, his curiosity was never ending. His hunger for all things beautiful in life was never satiated; chasing sunsets, dew covered forests and crashing waves with unflagging resolve. The significance he placed on living a positive life knew no bounds. He wore his heart on his sleeve and sincerely believed in the power of thoughtful gestures, deep conversations and something as simple as a smile. The darker the night, the brighter his spirit. Gary’s heart of gold and infectious laugh vibrated through every fiber of his being. Generosity and sincerity were not an after-thought to him, but essential to his purpose in life. From his quirks to his talents, he left an indelible mark on all of us; forever pushing us to be better, stronger and kinder. He treasured every moment, every person and every lesson. There was no such thing as surrender. He pushed on to grow, continuously, reaching, reaching, reaching upward in hopes of fulfilling his dreams. Gary’s gentle heart and good natured disposition stoked the fire of a powerful ambition, wrapped in a sweetly-dimpled smile. July 18, 1987 – September 25, 2015
