My Mother’s Eyes
My Mom’s eyes are special. At first glance, they seem like your normal average pretty brown eyes. But you look closer and you can see the ambition, see the adventure, see the wild, the caring, the safe like a blanket, and the magnificent in those “average brown eyes”. They are warm and strong, stronger than anyone and anything. They are light, fun, smart and beautiful. They are like a work of art, a painting. A person who is not experienced with art may walk by and smile and think, “Oh, isn’t that lovely. Isn’t that just gorgeous.” But when an expert walks by, they stop in their tracks, they utter words of disbelief at how magnificent this painting is. They can’t bear to look away from the masterpiece. My Mom’s eyes are special.
