Suzanne Marie Lea Kirby

Sue was born of French heritage on May 25, 1913, in Saskatchewan, Canada. She died peacefully on August 6, 2012 at the age of 99, in North Hollywood. Sue's family moved from Canada to California when she was a young child. She was a resident of the San Fernando Valley for over 70 years.

Sue married and had four children and later celebrates a second marriage of 52 years with John Kirby. She is survived by her three children: Donald Burns, Jacquelyn Carpenter and Carolyn Sebban, and each of their spouses. Sue was predeceased by her daughter, Marilyn Lombardi, and her husband, John Kirby, as well as four siblings. She will be missed by her eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Although her aspirations to become a nurse were never attained, she enjoyed many years working for various doctors and dentists. Throughout her long life, she thoroughly enjoyed time with her family and her many friends.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, August 13, 2012, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Crippen Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at 12:00 p.m. at San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills, California.
