Obituary of Viola Hicks Cavender
Viola came into this world on November 30th, 1925 and left to be with our lord on December 10, 2018 with one of her loving daughters by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents Rebecca Luna and Arthur Hicks, and her loving husband William T. Cavender, Grandson Daniel Rene Padilla.
Viola is survived by her only brother Sonny Hicks (Vicki), Children Wanda Kay Yoder (Bill), Barbara Taylor (Rick), Charles Vice (Carol), Lana Reyna (Robert)
Grandchildren Christina Pantoja (Donald), Ian Taylor (Leslie), Blair Creel (Damien), Lissa Holguin (Luis), Jessica Holguin (Gabriel), Jeannette Bowers (Chris), Roberto Reyna Jr. (Cristyn), Hugo Reyna, Annissa Reyna.
17 Great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild and 3 nephews and many cousins and friends who loved her.
Viola was a wonderful mother, grandmother and well known business woman. She was involved in the Elks Club and was a past president of the Emblem Club. Viola's love for helping others lead her to work for Texas A&M as a outreach social worker until her retirement. Our mother lived life to the fulliest and would light up any room she entered.
Mom you will be greatly missed, but your legacy will carry on through your family and all the lives you have touched.
