Eugene Emerson "Gene" Wyant, Sr.
Gene was born March 21, 1920 in Colfax, Indiana, he passed away September 2, 2012 in Glendale, California.
Gene served in the Marines in WWII from 1944 - 1945, he was awarded many accommodations including a Purple Heart. Gene worked as a Carpenter, building homes in Indianapolis, Indiana. He moved to California in the early 1950's, there he became a Carpet Installer. He has been a longtime resident of La Crescenta for over 40 years.
Gene is survived by his loving wife Harriett "Sweetie" of 41 years. One son Eugene E. Wyant, Jr. and wife Ruth, One daughter Darlene Van Horne, and 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and One brother Tunny Wyant. Gene is predeceased by One son Dale "Brad" Wyant and One daughter Yvonne Wyant, and 7 brothers and sisters.
Gene's great love was wood carving and making people happy.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Crippen Mortuary Chapel in La Crescenta, California.
