GERALD "JERRY" ARTHUR RIMPAU June 12, 1916 - January 5, 2022 Born in Anaheim, California a century ago to Edward & Agnes Rimpau, he was a 6th generation Californian. Graduated from Los Angeles High School. Married the lovely Frances Catherine Caliva on September 24, 1939. They lived on Clifton Way in Beverly Hills and had two children, Cheryl and Jerry. He joined the Army Air Corp in 1943 and flew 113 missions in WWII; Shot down 3 times. His older brother Edward was killed in WWII. Jerry also served as a pilot trainer during the Korean War. Jerry & Frances built their family home on Highridge Road in La Crescenta in 1952. An active member of the Garibaldina Society. After a long career, he retired from Pacific Bell Telephone Company in 1975. Jerry also retired as a Captain from the Air Force Reserves in 1976. Walking his dogs in the Verdugo mountains, La Tuna Canyon and Whiting Woods, has been Jerry's great joy in retirement. A Funeral Mass at Holy Redeemer to honor Jerry's life will be held on Wednesday, January 19th at 10:00 am. Services will conclude at church and interment at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills will be at a later date. Funeral Directors: CrippenMortuary.com
