Edward F. Mercer, Jr., age 55, passed away from cancer on April 27, 2012 at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, CA. He was born on June 2, 1956 in San Diego, CA. A resident of Santa Clarita, CA for 19 years, Edward worked as a Process Engineer at Johanson Dielectrics in Sylmar, CA for 17 years before retiring. He enjoyed backpacking in the Sierra's, taking family trips to Mammoth, riding his dirt bike, and playing the drums.
Edward was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Mercer in 2009. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patricia and 4 children: Justin, Veronica, Christopher, Bernadette (of Santa Clarita, CA); his father, Edward F. Mercer, Sr. and brother, Mark Mercer (of San Diego, CA); his sister, Rhonda Mueller (of Huntington Beach, CA).
