Harry Taylor Obituary
Harry A. Taylor, passed away Nov. 8, 2012 at Le Bleu Chateau in Burbank, California. He was born Sept. 14, 1925 in Portland, Oregon to Lillian Reese and Edward W. Taylor. He had two brothers and one sister. David, Earl and his sister, who they called Sister.
Harry joined the Army in Dec. of 1943, where he was a part of the Military Police.
Harry married Dorothy Blackiston in 1946, they had two children s son Lawrence Deiotte and daughter Sandra. Harry was a Roofer by trade in East Chicago, Indiana and later when they moved to California in 1960.
Harry is predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy in 1975 and his son Lawrence in 2008 and his daughter Sandra in 2009. He is also predeceased by his old sweetheart Jeannie who he reunited with when he moved to Oregon, they were together for ten years until she passed. He is survived by four grandchildren, James Casper, Tammy Casper, Linda Deiotte, and Michelle Deiotte. Seven great-grandchildren, Dalton, Janssen, Josh, Zachary, Brenton, Whitney, and Amber. Harry became very close to Jeannie’s daughter Laura and her children Greg, Sean and Matt, who all called him grandpa.
Harry moved back to California in 2006. Later Harry lived with his grandson Jim for about 2 years, after that he moved into an adult assisted living, Le Bleu Chateau where he was very happy.
