Jack David Wollard




June 10, 1924 – December 4, 2012. Born in Dowell, Illinois, He was brought to Tujunga, California the same year, his grandparents the Wright’s owned a shoe store in Tujunga in the 1920’s. His family then moved to Glendale for the schools for all five children. They were Richard Wollard, William Wollard, Lester Wollard and Dorris Wollard. He worked for the U.S. Port Office, JPL and Applied Research. He also worked for Councilman Howard Finn and Joel Wachs.




He belonged to the Lions Club and was very active in community events. He put on the Centennial 1976 in Sunland, California. He joined the Navy June 19, 1943. He served as Pharmacist’s Mate Second Class, USNR. His duties served Asiatic Pacific Area and American Area and was given the Victory Medal World War II. Place he served at were USNH NO. 8 Pearl Harbor, T.H. and USS Orvetta (II 157).
